Job Summary:

The Chief Investment Officer (CIO) is responsible for leading the company s investment strategy, making high-impact investment decisions, managing the investment team, and ensuring alignment of all investment activities with the company s strategic objectives. The CIO will drive performance, ensure compliance, and cultivate talent, while maintaining a strong network of clients, partners, and industry leaders. (CME 4) certification is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Investment Decision-Making:

  • Recommend and execute investment decisions within the scope of assigned asset class mandates.
  • Decide on asset allocation across equities, fixed income, alternative investments, and other asset classes.
  • Recommend innovative investment strategies to clients and stakeholders.
  • Conduct thorough market research and due diligence to inform investment decisions.
  • Evaluate risk-return profiles and ensure optimal portfolio construction.

2. Compliance and Communication:

  • Ensure all investment activities comply with relevant regulations, policies, and industry best practices.
  • Maintain transparency in reporting and documentation.
  • Represent the company s Investment Division in client meetings, conferences, and regulatory discussions.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, investors, and external partners.

3. Talent Management and Training:

  • Mentor, manage, and develop junior investment professionals.
  • Participate in recruiting, vetting, onboarding, and training new investment team members.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and excellence within the investment team.

4. Strategic Alignment and Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the executive team to ensure investment strategies align with the company s long-term business goals.
  • Lead investment department initiatives, including project planning and execution.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure investments support broader corporate objectives.

5. Performance Monitoring and Accountability:

  • Continuously monitor investment performance, risk exposure, and market trends.
  • Implement performance metrics and maintain accountability for results.
  • Prepare and present detailed investment reports to the board and stakeholders.

6. Networking, Market Presence, and Culture:

  • Build and maintain relationships with institutional investors, partners, and industry experts.
  • Represent the company in professional associations, conferences, and public forums.
  • Act as a role model for the company s culture, ethics, and values.

7. Additional Responsibilities:

  • Drive innovation in investment approaches, including ESG, fintech solutions, and alternative investment strategies.
  • Oversee liquidity management, capital allocation, and strategic fund deployment.
  • Manage vendor relationships, external advisors, and consultants for investment-related services.
  • Ensure robust risk management practices are integrated across all investments.

Qualifications:

  • Mandatory (CME 4) certification.
  • Experience in FinTech or startup environments is preferred.
  • Proven experience in managerial/executive investment roles with a track record of high-performing portfolios.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Deep understanding of financial markets, investment products, and risk management.
  • Experience in mentoring and developing investment talent.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
