Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and measuring, ensuring all items are ready for the chef's use, optimizing kitchen workflow.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to strict hygiene standards to prevent cross-contamination and ensure food safety.
- Assist in the cooking process, including grilling, frying, and sautéing, under the direct supervision of the chef, learning new culinary techniques.
- Monitor food inventory levels, and notify the chef of low supplies to prevent shortages and ensure smooth service.
Desired Candidate Profile
- High school diploma or equivalent is required, providing a foundational understanding of basic culinary principles.
- A food handler's certificate is essential, demonstrating knowledge of safe food handling practices.
- Prior experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred, allowing for practical application of culinary skills.
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role is ideal, showing familiarity with kitchen operations and teamwork.
