Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Abu Dhabi for a Corporate Banking Sales Manager. As a Corporate Banking Sales Manager, you will be responsible for sourcing, structuring, and managing corporate banking deals across business sectors, however, primarily in real estate-backed financing, including bridge financing, mezzanine funding, and equity release transactions and maintaining banking relationships, and offering tailored financial solutions to meet client needs. The role also involves working closely with developers, corporate clients, and their CFOs. The candidate must be capable of independently evaluating opportunities, coordinating with credit, legal, and risk teams, and ensuring proper structuring and security perfection including mortgages, liens, and other collateral arrangements, conducting market analyses, preparing proposals, negotiating deal structures, and achieving sales targets while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.


Duties & Responsibilities:


1. Deal Origination & Client Management

  • Build, manage, and continuously grow a strong pipeline of real estate and asset‑backed financing opportunities within approved ticket sizes.

  • Develop and maintain long‑term relationships with real estate developers, corporate clients, family offices, and key decision‑makers to drive repeat business.

  • Conduct regular client meetings to understand financing needs, assess project viability, and position the institution’s products effectively.

  • Identify new market segments, emerging opportunities, and potential strategic partnerships to expand business reach.

  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through proactive communication, timely updates, and professional relationship management.


2. Deal Structuring & Execution

  • Structure financing solutions such as bridge loans, mezzanine financing, equity release, and asset‑backed facilities in line with the institution’s risk appetite and return expectations.

  • Conduct preliminary financial analysis, feasibility assessments, and risk evaluations to determine deal suitability.

  • Lead end‑to‑end transaction execution, coordinating with credit, legal, compliance, risk, and operations to ensure smooth processing.

  • Negotiate deal terms, pricing, collateral structures, and covenants to balance client needs with institutional risk parameters.

  • Ensure timely approval, documentation, and disbursement of facilities by managing internal workflows efficiently.


3. Credit Proposal Preparation & Risk Management

  • Prepare high‑quality credit proposals, including financial analysis, risk assessment, cash‑flow modeling, and collateral evaluation.

  • Identify all material risks—market, operational, legal, and credit—and propose appropriate mitigants aligned with internal policies.

  • Ensure all proposals comply with regulatory requirements, internal credit guidelines, and Central Bank standards.

  • Present deals to credit committees, defend transaction rationale, and address queries with clarity and data‑driven insights.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure all client files, approvals, and agreements meet audit and compliance standards.


4. Portfolio Monitoring & Performance Management

  • Monitor the performance of active facilities, including repayment behavior, project progress, and covenant compliance.

  • Conduct periodic reviews of client portfolios to identify early warning signals and recommend corrective actions.

  • Support collections and recovery teams when required to ensure portfolio quality remains within acceptable thresholds.


5. Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with product, treasury, operations, and legal teams to deliver seamless financing solutions.

  • Provide market feedback to product development teams to enhance or refine financing offerings.

  • Support senior management with market intelligence, competitor analysis, and strategic insights.


Desired Candidate Profile


  • Expertise in financial analysis, credit assessment, and developing customized financing solutions

  • Proven ability to negotiate and structure financial deals effectively

  • Knowledge of Abu Dhabi’s financial market and deep understanding of UAE business regulations

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, both written and verbal

  • Proficiency in financial and CRM software is an advantage

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, or a related field

  • MBA or professional qualification (CA, ACCA, CFA) preferred

  • Target: 8–12 years in corporate banking / real estate finance (preferred)

  • Proven experience handling mid-ticket structured deals

  • Exposure to developer financing, bridge/mezzanine structures

  • Understanding of developer financing lifecycle (construction to sales repayment), UAE mortgage laws, collateral structuring, and lien processes

  • Deal structuring for bridge/mezzanine financing

  • Familiarity with IFRS concepts relevant to lending

  • Credit risk assessment and underwriting
