Job Purpose

The English Instructor is responsible for delivering high-impact English language training to adult learners in an industrial environment. The role focuses on improving workplace communication (speaking, writing, reading, and listening) aligned to operational needs, while also conducting English proficiency assessments and examinations and tracking learner progress throughout the 6-month assignment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver structured English training sessions for adult employees, aligned with workplace and operational communication needs.
• Conduct placement tests, assess English proficiency levels, and create learning paths based on results.
• Design lesson plans and learning materials focused on practical workplace use (emails, meetings, reports, SOPs, shift handover, HSE communication).
• Administer quizzes, exams, and speaking evaluations, ensuring consistency and fairness in scoring and feedback.
• Track attendance, performance, and improvement; maintain accurate training records and progress reports.
• Provide individual coaching and targeted support plans for low-performing learners.
• Collaborate with HR/L&D and line management to align training schedules with operational constraints.
• Ensure training delivery follows site rules (safety, access, timing) and maintains professional classroom standards.
• Recommend continuous improvements to content, assessments, and training approach based on learner data and feedback.

Education

• Bachelors degree in English Language, Linguistics, Education, or an equivalent field.
• Engineering background may be considered as an exception.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience teaching English to adults.
• Prior exposure to manufacturing, industrial, petrochemical, fertilizer, or similarly regulated environments is required/strongly preferred.
• Experience delivering corporate/in-company training or ESP (English for Specific Purposes) is an advantage.

Technical & Professional Skills

• Strong capability to conduct English assessments, placement testing, and examinations.
• Ability to teach adult learners across levels with structured, measurable progress.
• Excellent command of English (written and verbal).
• Strong classroom management and engagement techniques for adult professionals.
• Ability to tailor training content to industrial workplace communication.
• Proficiency in preparing reports, tracking progress, and documenting results.
• Teaching certifications such as TEFL/TESOL/CELTA are preferred.

Work Conditions

• On-site role Sokhna Plant
• Full-time for the full assignment period (6 months)
• 5 working days per week | 8 hours per day (2 days off)
• Must maintain full-time on-site presence for the entire assignment duration
