Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Logistics Coordination: They coordinate the scheduling and dispatch of vehicles and drivers to meet operational demands. This involves planning driving schedules and updating routes as necessary.
Driver Interaction: They communicate with drivers regarding route changes, safety protocols, and performance expectations. Fleet coordinators may also be involved in driver training programs.
Data Management: Fleet coordinators track vehicle usage, fuel consumption, and maintenance records. They analyze this data to optimize fleet performance and reduce costs.
Vehicle Management: Fleet coordinators are responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of vehicles, ensuring they are in good working condition and compliant with safety regulations. This includes scheduling regular maintenance and inspections.
Compliance Oversight: Ensuring that all vehicles meet local, state, and federal regulations is a critical part of the role. This includes managing vehicle registrations, insurance, and driver licenses.
Coordination with partner companies: coordination & followup with other Logistics companies
Desired Candidate Profile
Mandatory experience in a Courier & Cargo company, handling driver dispatch, managing routes, customer support & coordination.
Knowledge of cargo & courier pricing, regulations, etc
