Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Lead requirement gathering workshops with stakeholders from supply chain, procurement, inventory, warehousing, manufacturing, logistics etc.
- Analyse current business processes; perform gap analysis between as-is state and to-be vision.
- Design functional solutions in D365 SCM modules: inventory management, procurement, sales & order fulfilment, warehouse management (WHS / WMS), production/distribution where applicable.
- Configure D365 SCM in alignment with business needs, leveraging best practice and standard functionality.
- Produce and review documentation: functional specifications, process flows, configuration workbooks, test scripts, user manuals.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure integrations, interfaces, customisation (if needed) are feasible, scalable and maintainable.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), training of end users, change management to ensure smooth adoption.
- Assist with data migration mapping and validation.
- Provide go-live and post-go-live support; identify improvement opportunities and drive continuous enhancement of SCM processes.
- Lead or contribute to project planning; risk identification, mitigation and escalation of issues.
- Maintain up-to-date functional knowledge of Dynamics 365 supply chain modules and related Microsoft ecosystem developments.
- Strong experience working as a functional consultant in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management / D365 F&O / equivalent ERP systems.
- Proven track record of full-lifecycle implementations of SCM modules.
- Deep knowledge of key supply chain domains: procurement, inventory management, order fulfilment, warehouse management (WHS / WMS), and ideally production/distribution.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams, able to engage with both business users and technical personnel.
- Evidence of conducting workshops, documenting processes, writing functional requirement/specification documents, test cases, user training materials.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders.
- Ability to manage priorities, work under pressure, and adapt to changing demands.
- Working knowledge of data migration, integration between systems, and version control / deployment more so if custom integrations are required.
- Proficiency with project delivery methodologies (Agile / Waterfall hybrids) and understanding of Microsoft s implementation frameworks (e.g. Surestep, Success by Design, or similar).
Desirable / Bonus Skills
- Microsoft certification(s) relevant to Dynamics 365 SCM (e.g. MB-330: Supply Chain Management Functional Consultant).
- Experience in sectors such as manufacturing, retail, FMCG, logistics, or wholesale.
- Prior experience of international / multi-country rollouts.
- Experience of enhancements, customisations, and complex integrations with 3rd-party systems.
- Familiarity with warehouse automation (e.g. mobile devices, barcode/RFID systems).
- Experience with performance optimisation and post-implementation support / continuous improvement.
