Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The GM will lead the company through its second phase of strategic expansion and diversification, transforming the business from a largely captive or limited-market player into a scalable, multi-channel automotive retail business. The role demands a visionary business builder who can identify new revenue streams, develop a sustainable business moat, and support a high-growth business and long-term shareholder value.

A) Strategic Growth & Business Expansion

  • Providing visionary leadership to steer strategic planning, growth, and profitability.

  • Develop and execute a 3–5-year strategic business roadmap focused on growing non-captive

revenue, expanding market share, and improving profitability.

  • Lead the transition from captive-driven operations to a diversified non-captive business model

including B2B, retail, e-commerce, and export channels.

  • Identify and develop ancillary businesses to bring synergies, such as car care services or lifestyle services

accessories.

  • Establish new geographies, dealer networks, and partnerships to reduce dependency on any one

single client or market.

  • Identifying and capitalizing on market trends and emerging opportunities.

  • Analyze competitor strategies and pricing structures for growth.

  • Form strategic alliances with complementary brands, OEMs, or regional partners to strengthen

business and private label opportunities to expand the product portfolio.

B) Sales & Market Development

  • Introducing channel segmentation strategies for retail, online, and B2B to grow profitably.

  • Enhance First Option brand positioning and visibility through marketing innovation and customer

experience excellence.

  • Drive customer acquisition and retention strategies through loyalty programs and data analytics.

  • Strengthen relationships with car dealerships, workshops, and fleet operators to secure recurring

business.

C) Process & Operational Excellence

  • Establish and standardize core business processes across the production line, sales, and customer service

service.

  • Introduce SOPs and KPIs with clear review mechanisms.

  • Develop a culture of continuous improvement and lean operations to balance growth with

financial prudence.

  • Build a scalable supply chain solution with control over quality and delivery.

D) People & Culture Leadership

  • Build a leadership team and organizational structure.

  • Create a performance-driven culture focused on accountability, learning, and innovation.

  • Oversee talent acquisition aligned with business requirements — retail management, digital

marketing and category management.

E) Financials

  • Work closely with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and capital allocation.

  • Own P&L performance, ensuring profitable growth and strong cash flow discipline.

  • Identify new revenue streams and high-margin product categories to enhance profitability.

  • Diversify revenue mix — target >60% non-captive contribution within 2 years.

  • Monitor financial KPIs: revenue growth, gross margin, EBITDA, and return on capital.

F) Governance & Reporting

  • Maintain transparent reporting and regular updates to the Board on progress, risks, and

corrective actions.

  • Ensure regulatory and compliance adherence across operations.

  • Build strong external relationships with suppliers, regulators, and partners

  • Drive continuous improvement in corporate governance, ethics, and sustainability.

  • Anticipate market risk and develop mitigation strategies for supply chain, pricing, and competitive

pressures

Desired Candidate Profile

  • 10–15 years of experience in automotive and aftermarket, with at least 5 years in a GM/ Business

Head role within the same industry.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with execution excellence, commercial acumen, and team-building
