Job Duties & Responsibilities :


Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities.
To work in and oversee the assigned station / section and the relevant associates to ensure that food products are prepared according to the standard required.
Check the quality and taste of food before being sent out of kitchen.
Control costs without compromising standards.
Ensure to follow standard recipes and minimize waste to help ensure that the outlet s food cost is in line with budget.
Oversee and supervise all kitchen staffs and to arrange their schedule according to business needs.
Maintains operations by preparing standard operating procedures; implementing production, productivity, quality, and patron-service standards.
Check and ensure that all hygiene and food safety standards are met and maintain proper filing, including calibration of measuring devices.
Plans menus by consulting with Managers, adjusts menus and estimates costs.
Order all necessities in the kitchen i.e., all necessary raw materials and tools/equipments.
Maintain par stock levels for operational equipment and maintain inventory control procedures.
Accommodate customer special requests and resolve complaints about food if any occur.
Assist the executive chef in his duties as well.
Guide and train the assistant and junior staffs for better teamwork results. Responsible to train, and discipline kitchen staffs, inform the job expectations and enforcing policies and procedures. Make sure to assign responsibilities to staffs and conducts regular performance checks.
Manage attendance and timesheet related to payroll for all kitchen staffs.
Handle staff complaints/concerns that can affect the operations.

Job Qualifications :

A proven 2 years experience in Chinese cuisine
A Graduate of Bachelor s degree.
Must be punctual, organised, and trustworthy.
Possess a strong sense of ownership and responsibility
Ability to delegate tasks effectively.
High level of attention to detail
Experience in managing a kitchen and developing staffs
Good communication skills and excellent in leadership skills
Committed to deliver a high level of customer service
