Head of Operations ATS Shipping LLC

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Head of Operations to lead and optimize the operational performance at ATS. This role is critical for managing commercial operations across freight modes (sea, air, and land), spearheading customer-centric warehousing solutions, and driving new distribution projects, including last-mile operations. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader, ensuring operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and business growth while maintaining compliance with regional regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Freight Operations Management:

Oversee end-to-end commercial operations across sea freight, air freight, and land transport services

(domestic UAE and GCC). Monitor and enhance operational performance, ensuring adherence to SLAs and KPIs.

Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to streamline freight forwarding processes.

2. Warehousing and Logistics Solutions:

Design, implement, and manage scalable warehousing solutions tailored to customer needs.

Optimize warehouse operations, focusing on space utilization, inventory management, and cost efficiency.

Collaborate with clients to develop innovative storage and distribution solutions.

3. Distribution and Last-Mile Operations:

Spearhead last-mile B2B distribution projects, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.

Develop and execute strategies to improve delivery efficiency and minimize operational costs.

Drive customer satisfaction by ensuring seamless coordination across the supply chain.

4. Compliance and Risk Management:

Ensure full compliance with UAE and GCC logistics and freight forwarding regulations.

Mitigate risks by enforcing safety standards and operational protocols.

5. Strategic Leadership:

Provide thought leadership in operational planning and decision-making.

Represent the organization in client, vendor, and regulatory meetings.

Act as the primary point of contact for customer escalations, ensuring swift resolutions.

6. Business Development and Customer Engagement:

Support the commercial team in identifying growth opportunities in freight and warehousing.

Build strong relationships with key customers, understanding their logistics needs and delivering tailored solutions. Drive the Tender/RFQs submissions across regions for all major projects and collaborate with other stakeholders to put together and lead the Tender submission process at ATS.
