As a Landscaping Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in our landscaping projects by providing accurate and competitive cost estimates. You will be responsible for analyzing project requirements, evaluating labor and material costs, and developing comprehensive bid proposals. Your expertise will ensure that we maintain profitability while meeting the client's expectations and delivering high-quality landscaping services. You will work closely with project managers, designers, and clients, requiring a keen understanding of landscape design, construction practices, and market pricing trends. Your role will be critical in supporting the growth of our business by winning new projects and maintaining positive client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Analyze project requirements and create detailed cost estimates for landscaping projects.
• Review landscape designs and specifications to determine material and labor costs.
• Collaborate with project managers to align estimates with project goals and objectives.
• Develop and submit accurate and timely bid proposals to potential clients.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess project conditions and requirements.
• Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing on materials and services.
• Maintain updated knowledge of market trends affecting material and labor costs.
• Revise and update estimates based on revised project plans and client feedback.
• Assist in negotiating contracts and changes with clients based on estimates.
• Track and report project financial performance against initial estimates to management.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure repeat business opportunities.
• Support the sales team by providing insights and advice during project bidding phases.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum of three years experience in estimating, preferably in landscaping or construction.
• Strong understanding of landscape design, materials, and construction practices.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail in preparing cost estimates.
• Proficiency in using estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite is required.
• Ability to read and interpret landscape design plans and construction documents.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills for client and vendor interactions.
