Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Inspection Responsibilities

    • Perform third-party inspection, examination, and certification of lifting equipment, lifting accessories, and rigging systems in accordance with:

      • LOLER / OSHA / ASME / ISO / BS / EN standards

      • Saudi regulations and applicable client specifications

    • Inspect cranes, hoists, winches, MEWPs, forklifts, lifting beams, spreaders, slings, shackles, hooks, and associated rigging hardware.

    • Verify load ratings, identification markings, certification validity, and condition of lifting equipment and accessories.

    • Review lift plans, risk assessments, and method statements prior to execution of lifting operations.

    • Witness load tests, functional tests, and proof load testing where required.

    • Identify non-conformities, unsafe conditions, and deviations from standards, and recommend corrective actions.

    • Prepare and issue inspection reports, certificates, and non-conformance reports (NCRs) in line with company QMS.

    • Maintain inspection records in compliance with ISO/IEC 17020 impartiality, traceability, and confidentiality requirements.

      Training & Safety Responsibilities

      • Deliver basic safety and rigging training based on site-specific and client requirements.

      • Provide training to support both inspection activities and workforce competency development.

      • Conduct training for inspectors, riggers, operators, and site personnel covering:

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline (preferred).

  • Demonstrates a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the inspection and maintenance of lifting equipment within the Oil & Gas industry.

  • Exhibits a strong understanding of relevant industry standards, including LOLER, ASME, and API.

    Site Mobilization & Industry Exposure

    • Ability and willingness to travel to client project sites and various operational locations as required to support inspection, certification, and training activities.

    • Capability to work across multiple industrial sectors including petrochemical, construction, oil & gas, and heavy industrial environments in compliance with applicable safety regulations and client-specific requirements.

    • Flexibility to adapt inspection and training services based on site conditions, industry practices, and client operational needs.
