Logistics Executive(Import/Export) Nexo Business Consulting FZE

Our client, which is a large Sugar manufacturing organisation seek to hire a Logistics Executive to be based in Dubai. The role reports to the General Manager.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage import and export shipments, including negotiating freight rates, arranging container space bookings, and tracking shipments end to end.

2. Coordinate with freight forwarders, transporters, and hauliers to ensure smooth and efficient movement of goods to and from the factory.

3. Ensure all delivery orders and goods received are On Time, In Full, and In Specification (OTIF & OTIS).

4. Prepare complete, accurate, and compliant shipping and transportation documentation in line with customer requirements.

5. Liaise with the Company’s Quality Team to ensure quality compliance for both export shipments and local deliveries.

6. Use ITAS for order processing activities, including invoice generation, goods call-off and allocation, inventory tracking, and freight rate input.

7. Apply for and manage regulatory permits and trade certificates to ensure full compliance of import and export documentation for customs clearance.

8. Coordinate container movements with transporters, ensuring export containers arrive on time for loading and import containers are delivered and unloaded promptly to minimize demurrage and storage charges.

9. Verify freight bookings against freight invoices and other shipping-related invoices for accuracy and cost control.

Other Responsibilities

1. Actively participate in internal and external audits, including Safety, GMP, and Regulatory audits.

2. Perform any other duties as assigned by the General Manager from time to time.
