Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of occupational health and industrial hygiene principles.
- Understand oil and gas work environments, especially field and plant operations.
- Establish and lead a new Occupational Health Department, including administrative and clinical functions.
- Develop and implement occupational health programs and policies.
- Conduct health assessments and monitor the well-being of employees.
- Collaborate with safety teams to promote a culture of health and safety.
- Provide training on health and safety practices.
- Stay updated on industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor s degree in Occupational Health, Public Health, Environmental Health, or a related field.
- Master s degree in Occupational Health or Safety (preferred).
Certifications
- Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) or equivalent certification.
- OSHA certification or similar safety training.
- Additional certifications in Industrial Hygiene or Health & Safety Management (preferred).
Experience
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in occupational health, preferably in the oil and gas sector.
- Proficiency with occupational health software, data management systems, and Microsoft Office.
- Experience in developing and managing health programs and conducting risk assessments.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance and industry standards.
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent English communication and reporting skills (Arabic is an asset).
- Ability to work in high-pressure environments.
