Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Produce a wide variety of high-quality items including layered cakes, different varieties of cakes and tarts, pastries, cookies, and bakery products
Follow strict from-scratch techniques with an emphasis on small-batch production
Ensure outstanding consistency, presentation, and quality control at all times
Maintain a genuine homemade, artisanal standard across all products
Support menu development while understanding Dubai dessert trends and customer preferences
Assist in daily kitchen operations, production planning, and hygiene compliance
Desired Candidate Profile
Proven experience as a Pastry Sous Chef or Senior Pastry Chef in a high-end caf or bakery environment in the UAE (hotel experience not required and not the profile sought)
Strong technical background in classical and modern pastry & bakery production
Confident creating layered cakes and custom celebration cakes
Knowledge of the Dubai caf /dessert market and local guest tastes
Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
Passionate, hands-on, and quality driven
Currently in the UAE and available for face to face interviews and a kitchen trial
