Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Planning & Execution
Daily Scheduling: Allocate labor and mold usage to meet delivery deadlines for multiple construction sites simultaneously.
Process Optimization: Implement Lean Manufacturing principles to reduce downtime between casting cycles.
Resource Management: Monitor the consumption of raw materials (cement, rebar, chemical additives) to prevent shortages.
2. Quality & Technical Compliance
Mold Precision: Ensure all forms and molds are set to exact tolerances; even a 5mm error can render a structural beam useless.
Curing Protocols: Oversee the steaming or chemical curing processes to ensure concrete reaches its required compressive strength before stripping.
Testing: Work with the lab team to verify slump tests and cylinder breaks.
3. Maintenance & Safety
Equipment Upkeep: Manage the preventative maintenance of batching plants, overhead gantry cranes, and tilting tables.
Regulatory Safety: Maintain a rigorous safety environment (OSHA or local equivalent).
4. Team Leadership
Labor Relations: Manage a diverse workforce of fabricators, welders, and pourers.
Training: Upskill workers on new casting techniques or the operation of automated machinery.

Technical: Reading structural shop drawings and rebar schedules.
Software: Proficiency in Production Management Software (e.g., Tekla, Precast Office) and ERPs.

Soft Skills: High-pressure decision-making and crisis management.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Reject Rate: Percentage of elements rejected due to quality defects (aiming for $<1\%$).
Labor Efficiency: Man-hours per cubic meter of concrete produced.
On-Time Delivery: Percentage of orders ready for shipment by the scheduled date.
Maintenance Costs: Spend on emergency repairs versus scheduled maintenance.
