Roles & Responsibilities

The incumbent, serving as a Processing Team Leader (Seafood Line) within the Food division at GMG, is responsible for overseeing daily production activities and ensuring efficient workflow within the processing line. Reporting to the Production Manager, the incumbent provides guidance and coordination for processing staff to achieve high-quality output while adhering to safety and efficiency standards. The incumbent plays a pivotal role in maintaining production schedules, quality control, and fostering a cooperative work environment in the Everyday Goods division.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Coordinate daily seafood processing workflow, assign tasks, and ensure strict adherence to SOPs, quality, and food safety standards.

  • Supervise seafood production lines, monitor throughput, and resolve operational issues to maintain target output.

  • Perform quality checks on seafood products (fresh, frozen, processed), addressing deviations in weight, temperature, and appearance.

  • Manage seafood processing equipment, ensure safe operation, and report any maintenance or sanitation needs immediately.

  • Track production metrics such as yield, waste levels, and line efficiency, maintaining accurate daily records.

  • Train staff on seafood handling, hygiene practices, equipment usage, and contamination prevention guidelines.

  • Enforce strict safety and food hygiene regulations, preparing reports on efficiency, incidents, and quality issues.

  • Support continuous improvements in seafood processing, focusing on yield optimization, waste reduction, and workflow efficiency.
