Production Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise fabrication activities for structural steel, plate works, piping spools, and storage tanks.

• Ensure production targets are achieved in line with project schedules and quality standards.

• Interpret engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, and isometric drawings accurately.

• Monitor material utilization and control wastage.

• Coordinate with QA/QC, Planning, Procurement, and Project teams for smooth workflow.

• Ensure compliance with international codes and standards (ASME, API, AWS, etc.).

• Supervise welding, cutting, rolling, assembly, and fit-up activities.

• Prepare daily production reports and progress updates.

• Optimize manpower deployment and shop floor efficiency.

• Ensure adherence to HSE standards and safe work practices.

• Support project team during inspections, audits, and client visits.

• Identify process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce fabrication cycle time.

Job requirements

1. Strong knowledge of Structural Steel Fabrication, Plate Fabrication, and Piping Fabrication.

2. Experience in fabrication for Refineries, Petrochemical, Fertilizer plants, and Storage Tank erection projects.

3. Familiarity with WPS, PQR, welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, SAW).

4. Understanding of NDT methods and quality control procedures.

5. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and material take-offs.

6. Experience in production planning and scheduling.

7. Strong leadership and team supervision skills.
