Roles & Responsibilities

Position Summary & Key Areas of Responsibility

The NCR Project Manager is responsible for management of Payment Solution project implementations ensuring delivery and acceptance of high quality solutions. The Project Manager will work with NCR and customer resources to perform project reviews, accomplish the tasks defined in the project plan, manage day-to-day project activities, and serve as NCR's single point of contact with the customer.

  • Ensure projects are completed on-time, within budget, and within customer expectations of quality and functionality
  • Prepare and maintain a detailed project schedule and play a lead role in scoping, planning, costing, and pricing projects; responsible for statement of work development and risk assessment
  • Manage customer acceptance of the solution, ensuring customer expectations stay in line with the agreed statement of work; taking the lead in working through all issues and action items
  • Coordinate the establishment of a project environment that includes preparing and maintaining a roles/responsibility matrix, personnel plan and resource schedule for each project member.
  • Measure, track, evaluate and communicate progress against the Project schedule using project reports including project financials and project reporting compliance.
  • Author a weekly status report that is distributed and reviewed each week with the end user (Customer) in status meetings.
  • Tool usage will include but is not limited to MS Project, PSA, Excel and MS Word and will be executed using standard NCR formats and templates
  • Ensure execution and accuracy of monthly forecasts, billings along with the managing procurement and payment of contractors

Desired Candidate Profile

Basic Qualifications

  • Banking application experience a must
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
  • 0-2 years of project management experience
  • Experience at working effectively in challenging solution implementation environments
  • Experience managing complex, technology projects
  • Banking operations experience specifically in payment processing is a plus
  • Innovative and Resourceful. Develops new approaches for situations in which standard approaches do not apply.
  • Adaptable - Adjusts to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change. Accepts and adapts to new or alternative approaches

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMI - Project Manager Professional (PMP) Certification
