Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Experience:
- 2–4 years’ experience in a production, workshop, or fabrication coordination role.
- Experience coordinating with procurement, stores, and site teams is a plus.
- Hands-on experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication workshop is highly beneficial.
Location :- Umm al quwain
Key Responsibilities:
1. Job Planning & Scheduling
- Maintain a daily/weekly job schedule based on client deadlines and priority.
- Coordinate with sales/office team to understand incoming jobs and delivery requirements.
- Break down large jobs into smaller tasks with expected timelines.
2. Job Tracking & Progress Monitoring
- Monitor the status of each job (fabrication, welding, cutting, assembly, etc.).
- Conduct short daily check-ins with workshop staff or foreman to record progress.
- Update job tracking system (manual log, Google Sheet, Trello, etc.).
3. Material & Resource Coordination
- Ensure required materials (steel, aluminium, glass, accessories) are available before production starts.
- Follow up with procurement or storekeeper for pending items.
- Notify in-charge in advance about any shortage or delay.
4. Internal Coordination
- Act as a link between workshop, site, and office:
- Communicate delays or job status to the office.
- Coordinate with site supervisors for delivery or installation planning.
- Share feedback from the site team on quality or rework needs.
5. Reporting & Documentation
- Submit weekly production reports showing:
- Jobs completed
- Jobs in progress
- Delayed jobs with reasons
- Maintain basic documentation (delivery notes, material usage records, etc.).
6. Quality & Compliance Checks
- Assist in doing basic quality checks (e.g., dimensions, welding finish) before dispatch.
- Ensure workshop safety practices are being followed (PPE, fire safety, etc.).
Technical & Job-Specific Skills:
- Basic understanding of fabrication processes – welding, cutting, assembly, etc.
- Ability to read job drawings or work orders.
- Familiarity with material types like steel, aluminium, glass, and their handling/storage.
- Knowledge of basic quality control standards (e.g., measurements, welding checks).
- Experience with job tracking tools like Google Sheets, Trello, Excel, or manual logs.
- Cross checking the drawing & site survey confirmation
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualification :-
Minimum: Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Production, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Industrial Management (not mandatory if experience is strong).
