Roles & Responsibilities

Sales Director


Strategy and business development

  • Develop the sales strategy (local, regional and national markets)
  • Define sales objectives by product and by distribution channels (wholesalers, retailers, supermarkets, local authorities, hotels, restaurants, and cafes).
  • Identify new markets, segments and growth opportunities
  • Analyze the market, the competition, consumer trends, and seasonality.
  • Propose the launch of new products in coordination with production and marketing

Sales and customer management

  • Develop and retain the customer portfolio
  • Negotiating commercial contracts and distribution agreements
  • To define the pricing policy, taking into account production costs, logistics, and margins.
  • Track orders, deliveries and customer complaints

Sales team management

  • To manage and lead the sales team (sales managers, field sales representatives, distributors)
  • Set individual and collective goals
  • Monitor sales performance (revenue, volumes, margins, collections)
  • Train the team on the products and requirements of the agri-food sector
Internal coordination
  • Working in collaboration with production, quality, logistics and finance
  • Anticipate market needs to adjust production
  • Ensure compliance with the cold chain and health standards throughout the distribution network.

Comp tences techniques

  • Good knowledge of the agri-food market
  • Control of food distribution channels
  • Skills in commercial negotiation and price management
  • Knowledge of the constraints related to perishable products

Behavioral skills

  • Leadership and a sense of responsibility
  • Analytical and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and with quantifiable objectives
  • Required experience: Minimum 1-2 years in the position or 5 years in a similar position (Sales Director, Sales Supervisor), ideally in the food and beverage sector.
  • Required diploma: Higher education in business, marketing or management
  • Software to master: Odoo
  • Languages: French
