Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets for chemical products within the assigned territory, focusing on key accounts.

  2. Identify and cultivate new business opportunities by proactively prospecting and researching potential clients within the industry, including market analysis.

  3. Manage and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring customer satisfaction and providing technical support for chemical products and applications.

  4. Identify new market opportunities, product gaps, and innovation areas across all segments

  5. Coordinate with Procurement to ensure supplier performance, stock planning, MOQ management, and supply continuity.

  6. Support in budgeting and sales forecasting for each product.

  7. Achieve annual revenue, margin, quantity and profitability targets for assigned product categories.

  8. Maintain accurate product data, pricing, and contract terms in ERP/CRM systems.

  9. Monitor market trends, regulatory requirements, and customer feedback.

  10. Attend trade exhibitions and industry events.

Desired Candidate Profile

  1. Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

  2. Minimum 10 - 15 years of chemical industry experience, of which atleast 5 years was in sales/business development.

  3. Exhibits a deep understanding of the chemical industry, including market dynamics, key players etc.

  4. Prefer candidates who have experience supplying either bulk commodity chemicals or specialty chemicals to end-customers in the following industries :

  • Construction, Adhesive & Sealant

  • Detergent, Cosmetic & Personal Care

  • Food & Nutrition

  • Lubricant, Oil & Gas

  • Polyurethane, Polyols

  • Water Treatment
