Roles & Responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities

Recruitment & Onboarding:

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment process for all departments (tech, content, ops, product, etc.).
  • Coordinate with hiring managers to define job requirements, screen candidates, and schedule interviews.
  • Manage onboarding experience to ensure smooth integration of new hires.

Talent Development & Engagement

  • Organize and manage performance review cycles.
  • Develop and implement employee development plans and internal training programs.
  • Maintain employee records and track development goals.

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Maintain updated HR documentation including policies, procedures, and handbooks.
  • Ensure legal compliance with Egyptian labor law and employment best practices.
  • Oversee attendance, leave tracking, contracts, and benefits administration.

HR Strategy & Systems

  • Assist with defining and evolving the overall HR strategy for a growing startup.
  • Recommend and implement HR tools or platforms to improve workflows.
  • Provide reports and insights to management on headcount, retention, and hiring progress.

Day-to-Day Activities

  • Source candidates and screen applications.
  • Schedule and conduct first-round interviews.
  • Draft employment offers and prepare onboarding materials.
  • Update HR system with new joiners, policy changes, or role updates.
  • Coordinate with finance on payroll changes and attendance.
  • Respond to employee questions or issues related to HR.

Desired Candidate Profile

5+ years of proven HR experience, ideally in a tech, startup, or fast-growing environment.

Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Solid knowledge of Egyptian labor law

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Organized, self-motivated, and proactive

Bilingual (Arabic/English)

Experience with HR systems or tools (Zoho People, BambooHR, etc.) is a plus.

Experience managing hiring for technical roles (engineering, product, etc.).

Interest in education, tech, or creative industries.
