Job Description

The Assistant Manager at our distribution center plays a critical role in the effective and efficient operations of our logistics and distribution processes. This pivotal position supports the Distribution Center Manager in overseeing daily activities, optimizing resource utilization, ensuring product quality, and maintaining safety standards. Responsibilities
  • Support the Distribution Center Manager in daily operational oversight and planning.
  • Coordinate the workflow to ensure timely and accurate distribution of goods.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure stock integrity and availability.
  • Implement and maintain safety policies to comply with legal regulations.
  • Assist in managing subordinate staff, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation.
  • Optimize resource utilization to enhance productivity levels and reduce costs.
  • Manage and monitor logistics and transportation schedules meticulously.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Ensure all operations comply with company policies and industry standards.
  • Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to distribution activities.
  • Prepare and present reports on operational performance to senior management regularly.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative workplace environment to encourage team cohesiveness.

Requirements
  • Bachelor s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse management roles.
  • Strong leadership skills with the capability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and operational troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with acute attention to detail and multitasking.
  • Solid understanding of distribution center processes and industry best practices.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with diverse stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations within a warehousing environment.
  • Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
