Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Assist the Head Pastry Chef in preparing a wide range of desserts, pastries, and baked goods
- Follow recipes accurately while maintaining consistency and quality
- Contribute creative ideas for new dessert menu items and seasonal specials
- Ensure proper food handling, storage, and safety practices are followed at all times
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of desserts
- Assist in inventory management and ordering of pastry supplies
- Train and mentor junior pastry staff members
- Adapt to the fast-paced environment of Dubai's competitive culinary scene
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a pastry chef in a professional kitchen or bakery
- Culinary degree or diploma in Pastry Arts preferred
- Strong knowledge of pastry preparation techniques and baking skills
- Creativity and ability to develop new dessert recipes
- Proficiency in using various pastry equipment and tools
- Excellent understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to communicate effectively in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
