Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Execute pastry and cold kitchen preparations with precision, ensuring consistent quality and adherence to recipes under the guidance of senior chefs.
  • Prepare and assemble a variety of pastries, desserts, salads, and cold appetizers, showcasing your creativity and attention to detail.
  • Maintain impeccable cleanliness and hygiene standards in your work station, complying with all food safety regulations.
  • Assist in inventory management, including receiving, storing, and organizing food supplies, minimizing waste.
  • Monitor food quality and freshness, promptly reporting any issues to the chef and taking corrective actions.
  • Collaborate effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during peak hours, fostering a team environment.
  • Learn and master new techniques and recipes, expanding your culinary skills and knowledge.
  • Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) for food preparation, portioning, and presentation, guaranteeing consistency.
  • Assist in the setup and breakdown of the pastry and cold kitchen stations, ensuring efficient workflow.
  • Contribute to menu development by suggesting new ideas and techniques, showcasing your passion for culinary excellence.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a culinary diploma or relevant certification from a recognized culinary school, demonstrating foundational knowledge.
  • Holds a minimum of 1 year of experience in a pastry or cold kitchen environment, showcasing practical application of skills.
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of pastry techniques, including dough preparation, baking, and decoration, or cold kitchen principles, like salad making and plating.
  • Exhibits proficiency in using kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and food processors, or relevant cold kitchen tools.
  • Displays excellent organizational and time-management skills, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to deadlines.
  • Demonstrates a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating visually appealing and delicious dishes.
  • Possesses strong communication and teamwork skills, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
