Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The purpose and the responsibility of a Business Development Officer is supporting the Food Service channel by identifying, developing, and expanding new business opportunities. This role is key in generating leads, acquiring new clients, and building long-term customer relationships to drive sustained revenue growth.
ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify and maximize new business opportunities inside the assigned outlet through networking, field visits etc. as well as analyse prospective customer profile and requirements and determine the business opportunities for NFPC.
Maintain and grow relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within the industry.
Understand client needs and propose customized solutions that align with their business objectives.
Provide product recommendations and customized solutions based on client needs.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing in line with company guidelines and profitability targets.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform strategy.
Assist the Head of Department in executing the approved business plan by supporting the implementation of strategic initiatives across each channel within the Business Unit.
Collaborate with marketing, product, and operations teams to deliver excellent customer experiences.
Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote the brand and generate leads.
Monitor sales performance and prepare regular reports for management, highlighting progress and opportunities for growth.
Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing strategies, and sales procedures.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Food Science, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
5 years ++ of experience in the Food Service/Horeca sector.
Strong knowledge and understanding of the food and beverage industry, with a network of contacts in food service.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
