Commercial Manager Retail Omnium International Limited

Act as Omnium s lead commercial representative across major retail developments, providing strategic commercial and contractual leadership throughout the post-contract phase.

Take full ownership of cost management for large-scale retail projects, including budgeting, cost planning, forecasting, cash flow management, and reporting.

Lead commercial oversight on mall developments and redevelopments, ensuring cost efficiency while maintaining design intent and operational functionality.

Manage and evaluate variations, claims, and contractual matters, ensuring robust commercial positioning and risk mitigation.

Deliver detailed cost analysis and reporting, identifying commercial risks and opportunities across complex retail programmes.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders, particularly within leading Dubai-based developers.

Support business growth within the retail sector by identifying new opportunities and strengthening client relationships across the UAE market.

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of quantity surveyors, fostering a high-performance, delivery-focused culture.

Drive continuous improvement in commercial processes, cost accuracy, and reporting standards across the retail division.

Ensure all commercial activities align with industry best practice, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements.

Key Skills & Requirements:

• Minimum 15 years post-graduate experience in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale mall developments and/or retail-led mixed-use projects within the GCC.
• Strong experience working with prominent Dubai developers such as EMAAR, Nakheel, or equivalent tier-one clients.
• Demonstrated success in senior, client-facing roles with the ability to influence key stakeholders and drive commercial outcomes.
• Deep understanding of retail asset lifecycles, including design coordination, tenant requirements, and operational considerations.
• Extensive knowledge of the UAE supply chain, particularly in relation to retail and mall construction.
• Advanced proficiency in CostX or equivalent measurement software.
• Strong analytical and commercial acumen, with the ability to interpret complex cost data and provide strategic insight.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to manage teams, drive performance, and deliver under pressure on high-profile projects.
