Job Description

We are seeking a Payment Specialist (Consulting Delivery) to lead and manage payment-related consulting projects. This role involves overseeing payment strategy, implementation, and optimization for clients, ensuring efficient transaction processing, compliance, and enhanced customer experience. The ideal candidate has expertise in payment ecosystems, including issuers, acquirers, fintech, and merchants, and excels in project management, stakeholder coordination, and solution delivery

Responsibilities

  • Drive digital payment adoption by implementing modern payment solutions (contactless, QR, tokenization, embedded payments).
  • Develop and execute digital payment transformation strategies aligned with client objectives.
  • Analyze existing payment infrastructures to identify gaps and recommend frictionless digital payment experiences.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to implement new payment technologies (real-time payments, open banking, BNPL).
  • Partner with banks, PSPs, and fintech providers to enhance digital payment acceptance and security.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations
  • Design customer-centric payment experiences that boost adoption and retention.
  • Monitor payment trends and leverage AI, blockchain, and data analytics for smarter payment solutions.

Manage project timelines, budgets, and stakeholder communications for successful execution.

Qualifications

  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, risk management, and technology.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to payment
  • Strong functional knowledge of Banking and payments i.e., Issuing business (Credit cards, Debit cards, Prepaid cards, wallets, Retail Banking, Corporate Banking), Acquiring Business (Acquirers, Merchants)
  • High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong client leadership skills - can connect with clients and inspire their confidence and ongoing commitment.
  • 5+ years in payment consulting, fintech, or banking.
  • Strong knowledge of payment processing, gateways, fraud prevention, and settlements.
  • Hands-on experience with mobile payments, open banking, and embedded finance.
  • Proven ability to engage with issuers, acquirers, fintechs, and merchants.
  • Exposure to AI, blockchain, and data-driven payment solutions.
