Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
  • Set up and stock workstations with necessary ingredients and equipment
  • Chop, peel, and cut vegetables, meats, and other ingredients
  • Grill, bake, boil, steam, and fry food items as required
  • Ensure food is cooked and seasoned properly, checking taste and temperature
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, tools, and equipment
  • Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
  • Monitor inventory levels and report shortages
  • Assist with plating and garnishing dishes for service
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant, catering, or hospitality setting
  • Knowledge of various cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
  • Ability to follow recipes and adapt to dietary restrictions or special requests
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Physical stamina and ability to work long shifts, including weekends and holidays High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training is a plus
