Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
• Develop and implement country-level sales strategies aligned with company goals. • Identify new business opportunities in both public and private sectors. • Drive tender participation, submissions, follow-ups, and ensure compliance with all requirements. • Expand product portfolio presence in East Africa, especially institutional and branded segments. • Achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets. • Build and maintain strong relationships with Ministries of Health, government procurement units, NGOs, and global health partners. • Manage key accounts, distributors, and wholesalers. • Represent the company at official meetings, conferences, and industry events. • Work closely with regulatory authorities for new product registrations, renewals, and dossier submissions. • Track competitor activities, pricing trends, market dynamics, and policy updates. • Provide monthly market reports and business forecasts to the management.
Desired Candidate Profile
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Pharmacy or related field; MBA preferred. • Minimum 7–10 years of commercial experience in pharmaceuticals, medical supplies in East Africa. • Strong knowledge of procurement systems (Global Fund, MOH tenders). • Proven track record in business development and government sales. • Experience working with multi-country responsibilities is an advantage. • Excellent communication and negotiation skills. • Strong understanding of East African healthcare systems. • Ability to work independently with high ownership. • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions. • High integrity, disciplined, and target driven.
