Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- General tasks
- Strategy development: Developing comprehensive strategies to promote and protect cultural identity and to organize cultural events and activities.
- Supervision and leadership: Leading and guiding work teams, including cultural identity specialists and event and activity implementers, to ensure that goals are achieved.
- Resource Management: Allocating and managing the financial and human resources necessary to implement cultural programs and projects.
- Coordination and Cooperation: Coordinating efforts with government agencies, private institutions, and cultural institutions to ensure effective results.
- Performance evaluation: Monitoring and evaluating the performance of cultural activities, initiatives, and events to ensure the achievement of the desired goals.
- Enhancing community engagement: Promoting public awareness and community participation through organizing events and activities that meet the needs and interests of the public.
- Reporting: Preparing and submitting periodic reports to senior management on work progress and results achieved.
- Specialized tasks
- Managing cultural research and documentation projects: Supervising projects related to the collection, organization, documentation and analysis of cultural data.
- Developing cultural programs and initiatives: Designing and developing programs and initiatives aimed at promoting cultural identity and protecting cultural heritage.
- Supervising major events: Managing and organizing major events such as the Sheikh Rashid Award and cultural festivals.
- Awards coordination: Overseeing the preparation of awards and ensuring compliance with approved standards and conditions.
- Supervising event preparation: Following up on all aspects of event preparation, including site selection and coordination with participants.
- Media coordination and communication: Directing efforts related to disseminating cultural information and raising awareness in coordination with the media.
- Academic qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cultural Management, Cultural Studies, Media, Event Management, or Public Administration.
- A master's degree in a related field is preferred.
- Practical experience
- At least 12 years of experience in the cultural sector or event management.
- At least 10 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Proven experience in strategic planning, project management, and budget oversight.
- Core competencies
- The ability to plan strategically and manage performance.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Project management and coordination with stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills in both Arabic and English.
