The Head of Physiotherapy will be responsible for leading physiotherapy services across the hospital, ensuring clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, multidisciplinary collaboration and optimal patient outcomes.

Oversee daily operations of the physiotherapy department, including service planning, staffing models, and resource allocation.

Develop and implement evidence-based clinical pathways, rehabilitation protocols, and quality standards aligned with international best practices.

Provide professional leadership, mentoring, and supervision to physiotherapists, therapy assistants, and support staff.

Establish competency frameworks, continuing education programs, and performance management systems.

Collaborate with physicians, nursing leaders, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and case managers to ensure integrated rehabilitation programs.

Drive early mobilization strategies, discharge planning, and functional outcome measurement.

Monitor clinical indicators, patient satisfaction metrics, and productivity benchmarks, implementing corrective actions where required.

Ensure compliance with Department of Health regulations, accreditation standards, and patient safety requirements.

Lead equipment planning, procurement, preventive maintenance, and utilization optimization for therapy technologies.

Participate in hospital committees, infection control initiatives, and quality improvement projects.

Support business development, expansion of service lines, and community outreach programs.

Maintain accurate documentation standards and ensure audit readiness.

Develop departmental budgets, control costs, and contribute to strategic planning initiatives of the hospital.
