Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The HR Business Partner will lead and manage all HR functions across the Middle East and Africa region, acting as a strategic advisor to the business. The role focuses on talent management, employee engagement, performance management, and compliance with regional labor laws, while ensuring alignment with global HR strategies. It also oversees end-to-end recruitment, compensation and benefits, and HR operations to support business growth and organizational effectiveness.
Act as a trusted advisor on all HR areas, including talent management, employee relations, performance management, compensation & benefits, learning & development, employee engagement, workforce planning, wellbeing, HR technology, and HR reporting.
- Collaborate with global HR counterparts to implement region-specific HR policies, processes, and initiatives.
- Lead and manage the end-to-end Talent Acquisition lifecycle, including large-scale recruitment for new projects, nationalization, and staffing for ongoing Operations & Maintenance (O&M) projects.
- Support workforce planning and forecasting to ensure the right talent is available to meet business and project requirements.
- Serve as the primary contact for employee relations, providing guidance and resolution support to both employees and managers.
- Design and execute employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives tailored to the regional context while maintaining alignment with global programs.
- Oversee the implementation and monitoring of the company’s performance management framework.
- Support the design and delivery of competitive compensation and benefits programs in line with market practices and company policy.
- Ensure full compliance with local labor laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements across the UAE and Africa regions.
- Lead and support the rollout of HR initiatives, such as diversity & inclusion, leadership development, and employee wellness programs.
- Manage administrative and operational HR functions for UAE entities, including visa processing, work permits, insurance management (property, medical, motor), and renewal of leasing, licensing, and other statutory requirements.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or Business Administration (MBA in HR preferred).
- 6+ years of progressive HR Generalist or HR Business Partner experience in multi-country or regional roles.
- Solid understanding of UAE labor law; exposure to GCC and East Africa HR regulations is a distinct advantage.
- Strong strategic HR leadership and workforce planning capabilities.
- In-depth knowledge of UAE labor law and compliance requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Proactive, solution-oriented, and able to manage sensitive matters with discretion.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
- High cultural awareness, diplomacy, and ability to collaborate effectively across geographies.
- Ability to operate independently and manage priorities across multiple regions.
