Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist chefs by prepping ingredients, including washing, chopping, and measuring to ensure a smooth workflow in the kitchen.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste to comply with health regulations.
- Support the cooking process by monitoring stock levels and notifying chefs when supplies need to be replenished.
- Help with inventory management by labeling and storing food items correctly to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
Desired Candidate Profile
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary school experience is a plus, showcasing your commitment to the culinary arts.
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment, demonstrating familiarity with food prep and basic cooking techniques.
- Certification in food safety and hygiene, ensuring you understand the importance of maintaining a safe cooking environment.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours, proving your resilience in a bustling kitchen atmosphere.
