Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist legal department personnel in preparing and organizing legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and correspondence

Maintain and update legal files, databases, and records to ensure accuracy and accessibility

Conduct legal research on regulations, statutes, and case law to support legal analysis and decision-making

Coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for legal staff, managing calendars efficiently

Prepare and distribute agendas, meeting minutes, and other materials for legal meetings and conferences

Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for legal department initiatives and projects

Respond to inquiries from internal stakeholders and external parties, providing timely support and information

Assist with administration of legal processes such as document review, contract management, and litigation support

Maintain confidentiality of sensitive legal information and handle documents with discretion and professionalism

Perform other administrative tasks as assigned to support the overall functioning of the legal department

Collaborate closely with legal department personnel, including attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants, to support administrative needs and facilitate legal processes

Interact professionally with internal stakeholders across departments (operations, finance, HR) to gather information and provide legal support

Communicate with external parties, including clients, vendors, and regulatory agencies, to facilitate legal transactions and inquiriesbr>

Establish and maintain relationships with external service providers, such as couriers, notaries, and legal research vendors, to support the legal department s operations

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor s degree in Legal Studies, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Solid knowledge of legal terminology, concepts, and procedures, with the ability to understand, interpret, and manage legal documents and communications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and legal software applications (e.g., document management systems, case management software).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of interacting clearly and professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring meticulous record-keeping and documentation.
  • Demonstrated discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive legal information.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal supervision, and collaborative as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
