Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Generic Responsibilities-
- Evaluate trends in market conditions using market intelligence reports and competitor activity information and political/economic trends/industry development, to drive route profitability.
- Analyse trends in the global aviation landscape using externally published information and through market intelligence on competitor activities, geo-political developments, economic forecasts and market behaviours, to drive overall revenue maximisation, through aiding informed business decision making.
- Plan, develop and implement strategy for people management and development, including recruitment, selection policy/practices, coaching, training and development, engagement, culture and performance.
- Lead and drive a team of management/analysts, conducting regular reviews of monthly KPI performance.
- Ensure RO standards and procedures are defined, communicated, and enforced, with employees comprehensively trained developed in line with KPIs.
Manager Airline Partnerships-
- Manage codeshare, interline and intermodal pricing and distribution strategies that realise corporate revenue, yield and market share/traffic objectives, through favourable price positioning and market segmentation.
- Develop and implement profitable and competitive multi-gateway fares, strategic and tactical offers, and other pricing initiatives, developing joint marketing and promotional activities with partners.
- Manage Special Re-protection Agreements (SRA) and partner airline policies, to develop opportunities relating to re-protection of interline passengers and disruptions on partner service
- Identify partnership opportunities, manage partner relationships and negotiations, lead review meetings, and ensure partnerships elements are implemented.
- Identify key partners to support strategic traffic flows
- Develop management information systems to improve the quality of performance data and effectiveness of policies, price setting decisions and mechanisms, negotiating with vendors to enhance systems.
Desired Candidate Profile
To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or Honours with 10+ years experience in aviation management, Economics or International Affairs. A master s degree in any one of these disciplines is preferred.
- 10+ years with at least 8 years managerial experience related to the position, including senior level responsibility for managing airline alliances and negotiating partnership agreements
Knowledge/s/strong> kills:
- In-depth knowledge of negotiations and governance of Airline Alliances, IATA/industry practice and procedures in all matters related to codeshare partnerships.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills and demonstrated competence across all aspects of Airline Partnerships on Interline, Codeshare and Intermodal traffic.
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills and ability to deal with Executive stakeholder management both internally and externally.
- Proven track record of success in industry or partner negotiations at a senior level
- Team management and cross functional delivery experience.
