Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to drive growth in our Civil Construction and Interior Fit-Out business. The candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing client relationships, managing tender processes, and achieving revenue targets while ensuring profitability.


Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Strategy

  • Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve company objectives.

  • Identify new project opportunities in commercial, residential, industrial, and institutional sectors.

  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis.

  • Expand company presence in target markets.

2. Client Acquisition & Relationship Management

  • Generate leads through networking, referrals, site visits, and industry events.

  • Build strong relationships with architects, consultants, PMCs, developers, and corporate clients.

  • Conduct client presentations and project discussions.

  • Maintain long-term client relationships to ensure repeat business.

3. Tendering & Proposal Management

  • Identify and evaluate suitable tenders (government & private).

  • Coordinate with estimation and technical teams for BOQ preparation and costing.

  • Prepare and submit technical and commercial proposals.

  • Participate in bid negotiations and contract finalization.

4. Sales & Revenue Management

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

  • Maintain a strong sales pipeline and forecast reports.

  • Negotiate contracts and ensure favorable commercial terms.

  • Monitor project profitability and payment collections.

5. Internal Coordination

  • Coordinate with project, procurement, estimation, and finance teams.

  • Ensure smooth transition from project acquisition to execution.

  • Monitor client satisfaction during project lifecycle.

6. Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain CRM records and sales database.

  • Submit weekly/monthly performance reports.

  • Track project status and revenue realization.


Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.

  • 5–10 years of experience in business development within civil construction or interior fit-out industry.

  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, BOQs, and tendering procedures.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to build strong professional networks.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
