Roles & Responsibilities

Role Overview:

The Unit Manager will be responsible for end-to-end business management of the assigned channels, ensuring achievement of sales, revenue, and profitability targets. The role involves leading a large team, managing key accounts, negotiating trade agreements, and driving brand-building activities in collaboration with principals.


Business Management

  • 100% responsibility for business across assigned channels.
  • Accountable for sales performance, activities, promotions, and negotiations including BDA agreements.
  • Forecast monthly revenue and manage ordering process in coordination with Supply Chain.
  • Oversee trade contract agreements and negotiations.
  • Ensure timely collections.
  • Conduct budgeting exercises and financial planning.
  • Drive brand-building initiatives and plan promotions for key events.

Team Leadership

  • Direct reporting from Supervisors and Team Leaders.
  • Indirect management of Key Accounts and Merchandisers.
  • Reporting directly to the BDM.
  • Responsible for setting KPIs, conducting appraisals, recruitment, and overall team development.
  • Assign sales targets and monitor performance.

Client & Market Engagement

  • Manage relationships with key modern trade accounts
  • Handle self-service stores and standalone stores.
  • Oversee Duty Free channels.
  • Interact regularly with principals and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct negotiations and ensure compliance with trade agreements.
  • Involved in sell-out data analysis for decision-making.

Desired Candidate Profile

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong experience with big brand management.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP.
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills.
  • Expertise in trade marketing, sales forecasting, and market analysis.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of UAE experience in FMCG sales/modern trade.
  • Proven experience handling large brands and high-volume business.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and client management skills.
