Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Sales & Solutions Manager – Contract Logistics is responsible for driving new business growth while designing commercially viable, end-to-end contract logistics solutions. The role combines solution design, pricing, and bid management with active sales engagement to deliver customized warehousing and logistics solutions aligned with customer requirements and company capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Identify, develop, and close new contract logistics opportunities across warehousing, distribution, and value-added services

  • Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation and customer engagement to contract negotiation and handover

  • Build strong relationships with prospective and existing customers to understand operational and commercial needs

  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and solution walkthroughs

Solution Design & Engineering

  • Design end-to-end contract logistics solutions including warehouse layouts, processes, manpower models, equipment, and value-added services

  • Develop cost models, pricing strategies, and financial justifications in line with margin targets

  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, finance, and IT teams to validate solution feasibility and scalability

Desired Candidate Profile

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business, or a related field

  • 5–10 years of experience in contract logistics, with exposure to both sales and solution design

  • Proven experience in warehouse solutions, costing, and bid management

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong commercial and financial acumen

  • Solid understanding of warehousing operations, process design, and logistics networks

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

  • Ability to manage multiple bids and stakeholders simultaneously

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and solution costing tools
