Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and post journal entries for month-end and year-end closing.
- Maintain general ledger and ensure accurate and timely recording of all transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with IFRS.
- Assist with consolidation of accounts across multiple entities.
- Oversee vendor payments, reconciliations, and aging reports.
- Manage accounts receivable including reconciliation and follow-ups.
- Ensure all invoices, receipts, and supporting documents are maintained and compliant.
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations, including filing and reconciliation.
- Support external and internal audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor queries.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and relevant UAE regulations.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Support process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Liaise with other departments (operations, product, legal) to ensure financial alignment.
- Support the finance manager in strategic initiatives and special projects.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master s preferred).
- Professional certification (CA, CPA, ACCA, CMA) is highly desirable.
- 4 6 years of accounting experience, preferably in fintech, e-commerce, or fast-paced industries.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and UAE VAT regulations.
- Proficient in ERP systems (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or similar).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.

About the Role:
The Senior Accountant will play a key role in leading day-to-day financial activities, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting the finance leadership team in maintaining compliance with IFRS and UAE regulations.
