Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

International Shipping & Carrier Coordination

  • Manage end-to-end international shipments (air, sea, and courier) from Asia to Europe and other global regions.

  • Coordinate with major carriers (UPS, DHL, FedEx, DPD, etc.) to secure competitive rates and reliable service.

  • Track and monitor shipment status and proactively resolve delays or exceptions.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Prepare and validate all necessary export/import documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, AWBs).

  • Ensure compliance with customs, trade regulations, and duties/tariffs for relevant countries (especially China and UK).

  • Collaborate with customs brokers and freight forwarders.

Cost Control & Carrier Selection

  • Analyze carrier costs, delivery performance, and logistics KPIs.

  • Develop strategies to reduce shipping expenses while maintaining service quality.

  • Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers and logistics partners.

Process Improvement & Reporting

  • Identify process gaps and implement improvements in shipping workflows.

  • Generate regular reports on delivery performance, transit times, costs, and carrier compliance.

  • Work with internal teams (operations, procurement, customer service) to enhance logistics efficiency.

Customer & Stakeholder Support

  • Serve as the logistics point of contact for internal teams and external partners.

  • Provide real-time shipment updates and resolution plans for escalated issues.

Desired Candidate Profile

Experience & Expertise

  • 3-5+ years of experience in international shipping, freight forwarding, or logistics coordination.

  • Proven track record with China → UK shipping lanes or similar international routes.

  • Hands-on experience managing shipments with UPS, DHL, FedEx, DPD, and other global carriers.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of customs regulations, export/import compliance, and global trade documentation.

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.

  • Solid analytical skills with experience reporting logistics KPIs and cost optimization.

  • Proficient in logistics software, TMS/ERP systems, and carrier online portals.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to engage confidently with internal teams, carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers.

Preferred Qualifications (Optional):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, engineering or related field or proven experience and knowledge with equivalent certificates.

  • Certifications in logistics (e.g., CILT, FIATA diploma) (Optional).

  • Familiarity with e-commerce logistics and order fulfillment workflows.
