Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, focusing on seasonal ingredients and innovative dishes to elevate the dining experience.
- Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to culinary techniques and maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring dishes are prepared timely and meet restaurant specifications.
- Manage inventory and supply orders, maintaining an organized kitchen and minimizing food waste through efficient practices.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages creativity and skill development.
- Implement and uphold food safety and sanitation standards, conducting regular inspections to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and address any guest feedback regarding food quality.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Proven experience in high-volume cooking, showcasing the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Certification in food safety and sanitation practices, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional training, demonstrating a solid foundation in culinary arts and kitchen management.
- Strong leadership skills, with a focus on team dynamics and developing talent within the kitchen.
- Ability to work under pressure, maintaining composure and efficiency during peak service times.
- Excellent communication skills, facilitating clear instructions and fostering a positive working environment.
- Creativity and passion for cooking, with a desire to experiment with flavors and presentation techniques.
