Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Health & Wellbeing Education

  • Deliver educational programming, active and passive, on topics such as stress management, healthy relationships, coping and resilience strategies, and navigating the healthcare system.
  • Ensure students are aware of health insurance programs via presentations and other means to ensure they know how to utilize wellbeing support in the campus and local community, community expectations, and available health resources.
  • Advise students on the navigation of local health care services, utilization of health insurance resources, and personal wellbeing issues.
  • Integrate preventative health messaging into the student lifecycle in collaboration with other campus teams.

Individual Support & Case Management

  • Offer 1:1 wellbeing check-ins and short-term, solution-focused support for students navigating a range of concerns including identity, homesickness, academic stress, grief, trauma, and mental health challenges.
  • Coordinate support with internal stakeholders, and provide appropriate referrals to external care providers, as needed.
  • Serve as a key point of contact during student crises and manage post-crisis recovery planning in collaboration with staff, faculty, and families (when appropriate).
  • Conduct initial wellbeing assessments for students under 18 and maintain accurate documentation of case activity.
  • Communicate with students to provide support during crises in their home countries by directly reaching out to affected individuals.
  • In the UK, be trained in SVLO (Sexual Violence Liaison Officer) duties and serve in this role to support students as needed.

CARE Team Leadership & Student Risk Management

  • Engage in weekly CARE (Campus Assessment, Response & Evaluation) team meetings to coordinate individualized support for students of concern.
  • Manage student risk assessments and contribute to the implementation of safeguarding and behavioral agreements. Specifically serve as Safeguarding lead at UAE and UK locations.
  • Collaborate with other global Wellbeing leads and stakeholders to ensure consistency in care support and response across campuses.
  • Support emergency and crisis response efforts as a consulting partner to faculty and staff.

Community Wellbeing Initiatives

  • In collaboration with Campus Life and Student Life peers, Develop and lead campus-wide health promotion events and campaigns aligned with national and international wellbeing models.
  • Partner with Student Life, Residential Life, Operations, and Academics to embed wellbeing into co-curricular programming and campus culture.
  • Engage student leaders, faculty, and community partners in the delivery of timely and inclusive wellbeing programs.
  • Maintain visibility of wellbeing services through outreach campaigns, tabling, digital communications, and active campus presence at key student events.

Institutional Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Cultivate partnerships with local health providers, hospitals, care providers, and insurance providers to ensure student access to care.
  • Act as a liaison between students and external providers for continuity of care and coordination of referrals.
  • Consult with faculty and staff on how to respond to student wellbeing concerns and promote a culture of care across campus.
  • Contribute to institutional reporting and data tracking on student wellbeing needs, service usage, and emerging trends.

Desired Candidate Profile

Demonstrated experience in wellbeing education or case management, health promotion, program development, or wellness education in a higher education setting.

Strong cultural awareness and experience working with internationally and linguistically diverse populations.

Experience in crisis response and preferred training in suicide prevention and trauma-informed care.

Understanding of data collection, program evaluation, and outcome tracking.

Familiarity with student development theory, particularly within a global education model.

Safeguarding compliance experience if applying in the UK or UAE.
