Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
1. JOB PURPOSE: Responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of public bus drivers, Taxi and limousine drivers and school bus drivers & attendants and other operational personnel. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of transit buses and providing exceptional service to passengers. 2. KEY RESULTS ACCOUNTABILITIES • Design and develop training programs for transit bus drivers, taxi/ limo, school bus drivers/ attendants and other training staff, covering a wide range of topics, such as safe driving practices, customer service, emergency procedures, and regulatory compliance etc. • Ensure engaging and effective training sessions are conducted in both classroom and practical settings to provide hands-on experience and enhance the learning process. • Utilize various instructional techniques, multimedia resources, and training aids to maximize the effectiveness of training sessions. • Liaise with international training providers to determine the training needs for the driver community and recommend the service providers to the management. • Develop the competencies of the trainers and the training staff involved in delivering training programs to both internal and external drivers. • Preparing awareness programs, scenarios, and other remedial measures to address any adverse outcomes from the bus operations. • Emphasize and reinforce safety standards and best practices to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies. • Implement assessments and evaluations to measure the effectiveness of training programs and identify areas for improvement. 13 • Brief and introduce the new drivers to Public Service as and when groups of new public service drivers join the training section. • Prepare contents to design training related posters, educational posters for uploading the same on multimedia platforms like telegram apps. • Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in transit bus operations and training methods. • Integrate new knowledge and innovations into training programs as appropriate. • Conduct Train-the-Trainers internally as and when a new program is developed within the section. • Assist in preparing all type of test questionnaires, training evaluation and survey forms for internal and external organizations’ drivers who attend the training courses. • Measure the outcomes of the training programs delivered to drivers in terms of cost reduction, decrease in accidents, quality enhancement and complaint free operations. • Liaise and handle training related projects with internal/ external parties, prepare RFPs, contract documents, and attend to all section audits. • Prepare the section & departments to receive International, regional, and local awards on the projects and initiatives introduced internally. 4. Education • Bachelor’s degree in education, Transportation Management, or a related field preferred. 5. EXPERIENCE • Proven experience as a training expert, specialist, or educator, in the transit industry. • In-depth knowledge of transit bus operations, safety protocols, and industry regulations. • Knowledge of safety and customer dealing, designing training programs. • Knowledge of Traffic system, Highway Code, Defensive driving, Traffic rules and regulations of UAE. 6. KEY SKILLSETS 14 • Strong organizational and time management abilities to manage multiple training programs & schedules effectively. • Exceptional listener and communicator who effectively conveys information verbally and in writing. • Flexible team player with ability to effectively prioritize and juggle multiple concurrent projects. • Innovative problem-solver who can generate workable solutions and resolve complaints. • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. • Strong organizational and time management abilities to manage multiple training programs & schedules effectively. 7.
