Roles & Responsibilities

Welfare Officer – HR-UAE Building Construction Experience Required

We are looking for a qualified and experienced welfare officer for our building construction company. The candidate must have a minimum of 8 years of experience in the UAE construction industry, with strong expertise in labor handling, labor management, site and camp welfare, compliance, and grievance redressal.

Responsibilities:

  1. Handle day-to-day labor management and ensure smooth coordination between the workforce, supervisors, and site teams.
  2. Monitor and maintain discipline, attendance, and productivity of laborers both at construction sites and camps.
  3. Manage labor camps, ensuring all welfare facilities like accommodation, food, sanitation, and medical needs are in place as per UAE labor standards.
  4. Act as a bridge between laborers and management, handling grievances and resolving conflicts quickly and fairly.
  5. Ensure legal compliance with UAE labor laws and company policies regarding worker welfare, safety, and labor rights.
  6. Conduct regular site visits to assess working and living conditions of laborers, ensuring hygiene, safety, and comfort.
  7. Keep accurate records of worker details, incidents, and welfare reports.
  8. Coordinate with HR, HSE, and project teams for site-level welfare implementation and continuous improvement.
  9. Support in organizing orientation, training, and welfare programs for labor engagement and motivation.

Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements:

  1. Minimum 8 years of UAE experience in the same role within building construction companies (main contractors).
  2. Proven experience in labor handling, camp supervision, site welfare coordination, and legal compliance.
  3. Strong understanding of UAE labor laws, safety standards, and grievance procedures.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English (Hindi/Arabic is an advantage).
  5. Bachelor's degree or diploma in human resources, social work, or a related field preferred.
  6. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage large labor groups across multiple sites.
  7. Preferably immediate joiners
