Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Welfare Officer – HR-UAE Building Construction Experience Required
We are looking for a qualified and experienced welfare officer for our building construction company. The candidate must have a minimum of 8 years of experience in the UAE construction industry, with strong expertise in labor handling, labor management, site and camp welfare, compliance, and grievance redressal.
Responsibilities:
- Handle day-to-day labor management and ensure smooth coordination between the workforce, supervisors, and site teams.
- Monitor and maintain discipline, attendance, and productivity of laborers both at construction sites and camps.
- Manage labor camps, ensuring all welfare facilities like accommodation, food, sanitation, and medical needs are in place as per UAE labor standards.
- Act as a bridge between laborers and management, handling grievances and resolving conflicts quickly and fairly.
- Ensure legal compliance with UAE labor laws and company policies regarding worker welfare, safety, and labor rights.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess working and living conditions of laborers, ensuring hygiene, safety, and comfort.
- Keep accurate records of worker details, incidents, and welfare reports.
- Coordinate with HR, HSE, and project teams for site-level welfare implementation and continuous improvement.
- Support in organizing orientation, training, and welfare programs for labor engagement and motivation.
Desired Candidate Profile
Requirements:
- Minimum 8 years of UAE experience in the same role within building construction companies (main contractors).
- Proven experience in labor handling, camp supervision, site welfare coordination, and legal compliance.
- Strong understanding of UAE labor laws, safety standards, and grievance procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English (Hindi/Arabic is an advantage).
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in human resources, social work, or a related field preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage large labor groups across multiple sites.
- Preferably immediate joiners
