Roles & Responsibilities

Who do we need?
To be successful in the role, you must have proven skills across planning, creative and strategic thinking, as well as the ability to manage accounts and account teams. You will be a strong leader with excellent writing and communications skills and an ability to translate client needs into project plans. You will also help develop and implement engagement campaigns for a variety of clients. Ideally, you should have agency/consulting or related experience with a background in Financial & Banking PR. You must be adept at drawing upon previous sector experience to provide clients with knowledge and counsel all complemented by your sector-specific client servicing skills and media relations with key journalists in both local and regional media.
What will you be doing?
Client relations:
• Take responsibility for the day-to-day management and oversight of your accounts, ensuring that deliverables are met on time and within budget.
• Be a key player in supporting the clients at events and activations.
Content development:
• Develop a range of external and internal content.
• Assist in setting and meeting campaign measurement and evaluation criteria.
New business:
• Drive organic growth/project sell-in from existing clients critical to this is ensuring clients are aware of our offerings and pitching services to clients wherever possible.
Industry and market knowledge:
• Maintain a strong understanding of the clients business and work to create a good knowledge of current developments and trends affecting the clients industries and markets in which they operate.
• Have knowledge of the role of social media channels in PR and how to best utilise each channel to the clients benefit.
• Demonstrate understanding of the clients digital work and provide counsel to the team on social media content and activations.
Account team management:
• Contribute guidance and ideas for the account teams to implement and develop client work.
• Assist in financial management for clients, including supplier coordination and activity reports.
What do you need to apply for this role?
• 5+ years of experience
• Experience working with renowned Financial & Banking Clients
• Experience from a reputed PR agency
• Well-rounded communication skills, proficiency in client servicing and media relations, as well as the ability to write in a range of styles, including news releases, case studies, speeches, op-eds, features, key message documents, memos, and talking points
• Experience in managing colleagues and teams
• Experience with clients and accounts that are measurement- and evaluation-driven
• Strong presentation skills, poise, and professionalism
