Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Design, improve, and implement policies and procedures related to Sales Management & Client Relationship Management.

  • Develop existing business and solicit new catering business through catering lead generation and catering sales marketing.

  • Ensure all processes related to Sales are carried out in accordance with established standards.

  • Ensure catering team's banquet & operational activities comply with group standards and plan for improvements as needed.

  • Ensure clear communication of project deliverables is relayed to the Operations Team for seamless execution, including site visit reports.

  • Guide and monitor relevant team members to adhere to strict project turnaround times for deliverables.

  • Consolidate and analyze information reflecting the impact of sales on business results.

  • Analyze P&L information against the approved budget, identify gaps, and plan for specific improvements.

  • Communicate, recommend, and implement action plans to address any identified financial gaps.

  • Identify and approach prospective clients, analyzing which products and services would best fit their requirements.

  • Capture and coordinate all client requests and preferences, proposing methods to showcase the catering business capabilities.

  • Based on client information, assess the viability of potential projects.

  • Build and manage the sales pipeline effectively.

  • Conduct daily checks of sales executive reports.

  • Respond to potential clients catering inquiries and requests promptly.

  • Address client complaints and collaborate with our team to resolve issues.

  • Ensure all existing client requirements are addressed and follow up as needed.

  • Maintain and enhance relationships with existing clients by obtaining feedback to improve the guest experience, particularly concerning operational gaps.

  • Conduct weekly visits to existing clients to gather feedback and comments, addressing them with the respective operations and production teams.

  • Prepare menus based on client requirements for any banquet event.

  • Organize all client banquet events from inception to completion.

  • Handle all banquet functions thoroughly from A to Z.

  • Arrange for all necessary equipment, staffing, and logistics for any event.

  • Follow up on expiring client contracts.

  • Follow up and collect clients due payments in accordance with agreements.

  • Prepare new agreements, proposals, and quotations as per client requirements.

Key Authorities

  • Review and sign banquet quotations.

  • Approve all selling prices (excluding retail supermarkets).

  • Approve menus and provide feedback on food taste and presentation setup.

  • Prepare & approve P&L and feasibility studies based on the company budget.

  • Review and check all monthly expense costs to align with updated feasibility.

  • Check daily sales reports for all corporate accounts and coffee shops.

  • Monitor location-specific waste.

  • Conduct spot checks of existing client sites at any time to ensure compliance with standards and company policies.

  • Manage inventory of all banquet equipment.

  • Oversee duty rosters and attendance monitoring for banquet staff.

  • Approve and select all banquet equipment requests.

  • Review and approve all banquet goods requisitions.

  • Participate in the selection and hiring of all sales staff, sales executives, and business development personnel.

  • Participate in the selection and hiring of all banquet staff, including waiters, waitresses, and supervisors.

  • Conduct evaluations and disciplinary actions for banquet and sales staff.

Proven experience in sales management and banquet operations, preferably within the hotel or catering industry.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.

Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and P&L management.

Ability to identify and cultivate new business opportunities.

Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
