Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Recruitment & Staffing
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for permanent, seasonal, and temporary agricultural workers
- Coordinate hiring for field labor, equipment operators, supervisors, and administrative staff
- Ensure proper onboarding, orientation, and documentation for all employees
- Maintain employee records and personnel files
2. Employee Relations & Engagement
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee questions and concerns
- Foster a positive, respectful, and safe work environment
- Handle employee relations issues, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution
- Support management with performance improvement plans and coaching
3. Compliance & Labor Law
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, including agricultural labor regulations
- Manage compliance related to wage and hour laws, health and safety standards, and employment eligibility
- Stay current on agricultural labor regulations and advise leadership accordingly
- Coordinate workers compensation claims and return-to-work programs
4. Payroll & Benefits Administration
- Coordinate payroll processing, including tracking hours, overtime, and seasonal labor
- Administer employee benefits such as health insurance & leave policies
- Ensure accurate timekeeping and compliance with payroll regulations
5. Training & Development
- Develop and coordinate training programs related to safety, equipment use, and company policies.
- Support supervisor training and leadership development
- Maintain training records and certifications
6. Performance Management
- Manage performance review processes and documentation
- Assist supervisors with goal setting and employee evaluations
- Support workforce planning and succession planning
7. Health, Safety & Wellness
- Promote workplace safety in coordination with farm management
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards
- Lead or support safety meetings and audits
8. HR Strategy & Administration
- Develop and update HR policies and employee handbook
- Provide HR reports and workforce metrics to management
- Support company culture and values through HR initiatives
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
- 7 years Hands-on experience within HR field with Strong knowledge of labor laws, especially agricultural employment regulations.
- Experience managing seasonal or hourly workforce
- Proficiency with HR systems, payroll software, and Microsoft Office
