Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient and timely meal preparation.
Create and implement diverse menus, considering nutritional balance and customer preferences.
Manage and mentor kitchen staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards, adhering to industry regulations.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless catering services for events and functions.
Source high-quality ingredients, negotiating with suppliers to obtain the best deals.
Monitor and control food costs, ensuring profitability while maintaining quality.
Implement innovative cooking techniques and stay updated with culinary trends.
Handle customer complaints and provide prompt solutions to ensure satisfaction.
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Lead Cook or similar role in a catering or hospitality setting.
- Proven track record of leading and managing kitchen teams, ensuring high-quality output.
- Strong culinary skills and a creative approach to menu development.
- Excellent knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, with relevant certifications.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Effective communication and leadership skills to motivate and guide kitchen staff.
- Proficiency in using kitchen equipment and a willingness to learn new techniques.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
