Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Proactively manage and optimize appointment schedules to ensure efficient patient flow and minimize wait times, considering provider availability and patient needs.
- Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits eligibility, accurately entering data and resolving discrepancies to facilitate seamless billing and avoid claim denials.
- Effectively communicate with patients via phone, email, and in-person, providing clear instructions, answering inquiries, and addressing concerns with empathy and professionalism.
- Coordinate appointments with various specialists and ancillary services, ensuring timely referrals and the availability of necessary medical records and information.
Desired Candidate Profile
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting, demonstrating familiarity with medical terminology and procedures is preferred.
- Basic understanding of medical insurance and billing processes is beneficial.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and scheduling software is essential.
